Retro Ice Cream Couples Photoshoot Notting Hill 🍦

I was so happy to welcome Alison & Guy to Alimagery for a creative couples photoshoot and we settled on our Retro Rewind collection, with the added twist of using (what ended up being faux) ice cream 🍦😋
Retro Rewind was designed as a throwback to a simpler time, dated to a period in the late 20th century. The photos are oh-so vibrant, bright and grainy - a unique connection between our ultramodern lenses and classic filmic tones. Notting Hill is the beautiful backdrop for this collection, a groovy location where pastel buildings meet classic cars.
I was extra delighted when Alison approved of the ice cream, using a hero prop for a photoshoot is a fantastic idea for fun-loving couples. Not only does it help to show off personalities, but it’s an easy way to feel more comfortable in front of the camera and keep interactions looking natural. Coffee, frozen yoghurt and fruit are other great ideas too! If food isn’t your fancy; think about balloons, books, flowers or... pets!
Alison & Guy share a beautiful story together. They found each other on Bumble during the pandemic, a time when Alison moved to France to stay with her family. They kept their spark alive through virtual dinner dates and today they share a home together in London. This photoshoot marks two years together for this gorgeous couple so here’s a massive congratulations to this pair!
This white street was perfect for the chic couple to walk down and channel their inner celebrity couple energy. I stopped them halfway down the street and asked them to show us their most adorable eskimo kisses.
Oh my god. I asked Guy to say something to make Alison blush, that didn’t quite work, so this is him whispering what he’d like for lunch after as seductively as possible. The laughter was real.
We swapped the ice cream for doughnuts in one of my favourite London mews and the couple were vibin’
Me to Alison: feed Guy your doughnut. As aggressively as possible. 😂
One of my favourite things about a couples photoshoot is having a couple who are relaxed enough to create some memes. This shot is iconic!
Speaking of iconic… 🤩
Spring is beginning to bloom, so we had to get a shot in front of these lovely cherry blossoms.
These are my favourite shots of the bunch, they’re perfectly styled with the blue tones, and the couple dancing just brings out the best vibes.
This little pink house was an adorable ending to a perfect photoshoot.
